Historic Challenge
In achieving the master vision set out for this popular park-based property 20+ years ago, the owners planned to redevelop 170,000 sm of retail/entertainment and hotel uses, and more parking. The site included a historically significant complex that had become dated and less viable in today’s market. To determine whether or not to keep the building, we undertook several quick study options looking at “clearing” the site of the structure, or integrating and repurposing it. The analysis revealed some surprising opportunities in keeping the building; the client is currently evaluating the options to inform the direction this final phase of the project will take.
