Built as an urban neighborhood infill project similar to Luwan, Xuhui is a smaller, but no less integrated community in one of Shanghai’s most successful and dense neighborhoods. Hinging on the integration of green space, the project is organized around a terraced retail building defined by a series of cascading garden roof levels that bridge over and connect to more retail, and two, mid-rise office buildings.
